The IsatPhone 2 is Inmarsat's ruggedised handset — clear voice from geostationary satellites, an 8-hour talk battery, and a GPS assistance button that sends your location to a pre-set number. Coverage spans the world's landmasses except the polar regions. Every unit we sell leaves London with its SIM fitted and registered: power on outdoors and make your first call.
Built for hard use
Dust, splash and shock resistant to IP65 and IK04, operating down to −20 °C, with a scratch-resistant display readable in bright sunlight.
Assistance button and tracking
A GPS assistance button sends your location to a pre-set emergency number, with position tracking built in.
Long battery, easy handling
Up to 8 hours of talk and 160 hours of standby, incoming call alerts with the antenna stowed, and Bluetooth for hands-free use.
Landmass coverage worldwide, except the poles.
Inmarsat serves the IsatPhone 2 from three geostationary I-4 satellites, each covering a third of the globe — Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific. Coverage spans the world’s landmasses and oceans between the high latitudes; there is no service in the polar regions, and signal elevation falls the further north or south you travel.
Alphasat coverage in the EMEA region prioritises the area north of 44°S — service may degrade south of that latitude. Inmarsat services are no longer available in India. Some countries restrict possession or use of satellite equipment — check with the destination's embassy before you travel.
