Globalstar makes sense when your work sits squarely inside its footprint — North and South America, Europe, parts of Africa and Australia. The bent-pipe design routes calls straight to a ground station, which keeps voice quality high and airtime pricing keen within those regions.
The trade-off is that coverage depends on a ground station being in view: there are real gaps mid-ocean and across much of Asia and Africa. For anything that leaves the footprint, or for safety-critical global work, we point you at Iridium.

Voice + data coverage
Globalstar voice and data calls are carried through regional ground stations, so the voice footprint is regional and differs from the satellite IoT footprint shown at the top of this page.
