Inmarsat IsatPhone 2 — firmware

IsatPhone 2 firmware updates are released occasionally by Inmarsat. They address minor stability and battery behaviour and sometimes adjust network behaviour.

Check version

From the IsatPhone 2 home screen:

  1. Menu → Settings → About phone
  2. Note the Firmware version

Update process

Inmarsat publishes the IsatPhone firmware updater as a Windows installer. With the supplied USB cable:

  1. Install the IsatPhone 2 Upgrade Tool
  2. Connect the handset by USB
  3. Follow the prompts. The handset will reboot during the process.

Do not disconnect the device or remove the battery during the update.
