Iridium 9575 Extreme — firmware
Firmware updates for the Iridium 9575 Extreme are released occasionally by Iridium. They fix bugs, improve battery and tracking behaviour, and sometimes add features.
Current published firmware
The most recently published firmware for the Iridium 9575 Extreme at the time of writing is HL14010. Iridium does not always publish updates publicly — we’ll keep this page in line with what’s been released.
How to check your handset version
On the 9575 Extreme:
- From the home screen, press Menu
- Scroll to Setup → About
- Note the Software version number
How to update
Iridium firmware is updated using Iridium Update Manager (Windows). The process takes about 15 minutes and requires the USB cable.
- Download Iridium Update Manager from Iridium’s support area (we can send you a link if you don’t have one).
- Install on a Windows PC.
- Connect the handset by USB and follow the prompts.
- Do not disconnect, power down or remove the battery during the update.
- Verify the new version in Setup → About after the update completes.
